~before you came,
things were as they should be:
the sky was the dead-end of sight,
the road was just a road, wine merely wine.
Now everything is like my heart,
a color at the edge of blood:
the gray of your absence, the color of poison, of thorns.
the gold when we meet, the season ablaze,
the yellow of autumn, the red of flowers, of flames,
and the black when you cover the earth
with the coal of dead fires.
And the sky, the road, the glass of wine?
The sky is a shirt wet with tears,
the road a vein about to break,
and the glass of wine a mirror in which
the sky, the road, the world keep changing.
Don't leave now that you're here-
Stay. So the world may become like itself again:
so the sky may be the sky,
the road a road,
and the glass of wine not a mirror, just a glass of wine.~

Shan, please find happiness and peace wherever you are. We will never forget you.
To all my friends, old and new..you mean more to me than you will ever know, and I am so grateful for your friendship. I love you all.
I have bronchitis instead! Yaaaaaay.
(^-- My excitement over learning this)
Sooo, hopefully, I will make a return to MSN next week. I was going to do it this week, but then I lost my voice and started doing things like having fevers and imitating my cats' sleeping schedules. You all have had the patience of saints to put up with my AWOL-ness. ;_; I will get back to tagging very soon!
And I also feel kind of bad, since I made a pretty carrot cake for my grandma's birthday, except now my mom won't have me bring it to her house on Saturday for everyone(if I can go at all) due to the potential of me smuggling germs over state lines. More for me then? Though it's an awful lot...
Yummy, yummy (It looks like this, except without the carrot icing and the strange green things in the cake.)
But on a good note, my headphones finally came in the mail!
The sound is awesome. =D

Aaaand following a lovely night out with Jam (plus two migraines the next day) and I'm still recovering, ha. To say we painted the town red might be an understatement, and I say understatement only because I don't know what exactly “painting the town red” entails, but I can say with confidence that it sure seems as if the town was thoroughly painted by the end of our outing. Sushi at Jannie's, receiving random carnations from passersby, ice cream in freezing weather, outdoor music festivals, and watching strange Youtube videos all included. I never knew how much I needed a break from the serious happenings in my own life. I had a ton and a half of fun, Jam. Thank you. =)
So now I'm being all artsy-fartsy, typing with paint-stained hands as I work on my mom's birthday present while scrolling through Canon's website pining over cameras that would take me a million billion years to save up for. I will do my best to make it happen, though!
Oh, and I am also listening to Colorpulse's album, and it is fantastically glorious and really good music to watercolor by. <3

A good thing that's happened is that I learned that the college I'm applying to has really great overseas programs! They offer year long trips to nearly everywhere, but I can't decide between Madrid, Seoul, or Tokyo. Ohh, decisions, decisions...
(Oh, and when I have more time I'll also fix whatever funky thing is going on with the title of my journal, too.)
